Hoje, a excitação é grande, mas enquanto aguardamos que todos os convidados cheguem a Oslo onde vão ter lugar as celebrações dos 80 anos do Rei Harald V e da Rainha Sonja da Noruega, vamos ver o que duas meninas suecas ( e um menino) fizeram ontem.

A Princesa da Coroa Victoria compareceu ao 80º aniversário da Associação de Amigos da Câmara de Comércio Sueca - Svenska Rominstitutets Vänner - e de seguida esteve presente na reunião anual do museu Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde em Estocolmo. Victoria estava bastante elegante num conjunto, onde a saia com volume e padrão abstracto (AMO!) era a peça principal, conjugada extraordinariamente bem com uma simples camisa branca.

No mesmo dia o Príncipe Carl Philip e a Princesa Sofia compareceram à primeira edição do Fórum Mundial 2017 Anti-Bullying que decorre de 7-9 de Maio em Estocolmo. Trata-se do maior evento do mundo destinado a abordar a vulnerabilidade das crianças vítimas de abuso, assédio e violência. Durante os vários dias do encontro são ouvidos bastantes investigadores e profissionais das áreas dos cuidados infantis, e decorrem, simultaneamente, vários seminários e workshops.
On the same day, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia attended the first edition of the World 2017 Anti-Bullying Forum which takes place from 7-9 May in Stockholm. It is the largest event in the world to address the vulnerability of children who are victims of abuse, harassment and violence. A number of researchers and field profissionals from the childcare area are heard during this meeting, where several seminars and workshops take place simultaneously.
Carl Philip e Sofia, através da sua Fundação, dão um destaque especial ao bullying online. Este foi um tópico do discurso de abertura feito pelo casal. Carl Philip e Sofia destacaram que a sua Fundação tenta espalhar a mensagem de que a diversidade deve ser encarada como uma coisa boa, de forma a tornar a sociedade mais inclusiva e aberta. Para isso é necessário mudar a forma como as crianças e os jovens se tratam uns aos outros. Para alcançar isso é necessário que os adultos, comecem eles próprios, a assumir a responsabilidade pelos seus actos e expressões. As crianças e os jovens actuam pelo exemplo e é necessário que, para prevenir comportamentos de risco, eles se sintam seguros e à vontade para falarem com os seus adultos de referência, pais, familiares e educadores.
Carl Philip and Sofia, through their Foundation, give a special highlight to online bullying. This was a topic of the opening speech made by the couple. Carl Philip and Sofia emphasized that their Foundation tries to spread the message that diversity should be seen as a good thing in order to make society more inclusive and open. This requires changing the way children and young people treat each other. To achieve this, it is necessary for adults to begin, to take responsibility for their own actions and expressions. Children and young people act by example and it is necessary that, in order to prevent risky behavior, they feel safe and comfortable talking to their reference adults, parents, family and educators.

Nós, como adultos, temos uma responsabilidade tremenda de nos tornarmos um exemplo para as nossas crianças e jovens. Para que possamos ser um exemplo a todos os níveis."
"Together we can work towards a society where they will be accepted for who they are, regardless of their style, their background or who they happen to fall in love with.
We, as adults, have an enormous responsibility to set an example for children and young people. To be role models in every way."

And how do we convey this example? Sofia asked the audience:
"Como nos expressamos offline e online? O que dizemos das pessoas que agem de maneira diferente daquilo que é considerado norma? E quando exprimimos a nossa opinião online: damos o nosso nome ou escondemos-nos atrás do véu do anonimato?
Estas escolhas importam. Se queremos mudar a forma como as nossas crianças e jovens interagem uns com os outros, temos que começar em nós mesmos. Todas as mudanças importam!"
"How do we express ourselves, offline and online? What do we say about people who look or act different to what is considered the norm? And when we express our opinions online: do we stand for them or do we hide behind a veil of anonymity?
Our choices matter. If we want to change how children and young people treat each other, we have to start with ourselves. All change starts here."
